Privacy

ShowdownWire has no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms that collect personal information. It does not load a third-party analytics script.

Live updates

While the tab is visible, the page checks /api/v1/pulse about every 20 seconds so new prices and headlines appear without a reload. That request stays on this site and sets no cookie.

Hosting

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes each request on the way in (see Cloudflare’s privacy policy). The origin server does not keep access logs with visitor IP addresses.

Advertising

No ad network is active right now, so no advertising cookies are set. This section will describe the ad provider and your choices before any ads run.

Paid links and tips

Some race pages may show links to prediction-market venues marked “Paid links.” If you open an account through one, ShowdownWire may earn a referral fee. The venue sets its own cookies once you leave this site. Referral deals never change the prices, ratings, or polls shown here.

The “Support” button, when shown, opens a third-party tip page. Payments are handled there under that service’s policy; ShowdownWire does not see your card details. Tips are not contributions to any candidate, party, or campaign.

Other sites

Race pages link out to Wikipedia, market venues, the FEC, and news sites. Those sites have their own policies once you leave.
